This is an accessibility statement from Constructive Communities. 

Measures to support accessibility

Constructive Communities takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of Constructive Communities: 

  • Employ formal accessibility quality assurance methods.

  • Content creator has adapted and has started learning about accessibility with the support of accessibility specialists

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Constructive Communities is fully conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Fully conformant means that the content fully conforms to the accessibility standard.

Limitations and alternatives

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of Constructive Communities, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below. 

Known limitations for Constructive Communities: 

  1. Empty link: There is an empty link on every page that can be detected by automated audits causing a Semi-Compliant result, this is an issue not controlled by the owner but by the creator of the template and Squarespace. The owner has tried to contact support but the element could not be erased.

Missing form label on the contact us form: The form is not properly programmatically labelled, this form cannot be modified due to Squarespace, however, the form is still functional and can be filled out using a screen readers.
